RIGHTNOW digital micro commissions.
In March 2021 we placed an open call-out for our RIGHTNOW digital micro commissions. The artists’ task was to respond to the idea of PARENTING and CARING UNDER LOCKDOWN. We received an incredible and vast response from artists all over the country and after a lengthy process, we selected three very exciting brand-new ideas:
‘Greek Like Me’ by Polis Loizou
‘Wavelength’ by Marina Koem and Melina Theo
‘Package Holiday: Croatia’ by Kristana Gavran
And thus, RIGHTNOW by Notnow was created. A micro festival taking place from the 1st of June through to the 15th. All pieces are available to stream for free on on our website under the Rightnow tab! All artists are migrants and themes deal with: parenting in lockdown, queer adoption, introducing audiences to new place and a sense of belonging.
